COVID-19 Update: Infection Prevention Control

Mar 19 | News

As we continue to monitor and assess the global impact of COVID-19 (coronavirus), we want to share the proactive measures we have put in place to help limit the spread of the virus, while still delivering the same level of service:

  • Intense Cleaning – Our clinics are cleaned and disinfected regularly as a normal course of business. Our cleaners have increased the concentration of their disinfection solutions. Our staff routinely practice touch surface cleaning and wipe all surfaces in our exam rooms between every patient.
  • Standard Hygiene – We continue to promote good hygiene at all of our clinics. Hand washing audits are conducted on our staff on a daily basis. Washing hands with soap and water or alcohol-based hand rub kills viruses that may be on your hands.
  • Social Distancing – We proactively ask our staff to avoid shaking hands and practice social distancing. We have also implemented cardiology consultations and follow-up appointments by telephone.
  • Managing Staff Illness – As part of our efforts to limit the spread of the virus, we have asked our staff to stay home if they feel unwell.

If you are concerned you may have been exposed to, or if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 (coronavirus), please contact your primary healthcare provider or call Telehealth at 1-866-797-0000.
