Did you know your risk for breast cancer increases as you age? In fact, approximately 80% of women diagnosed with breast cancer are ages 50 and older.

That's why the OBSP (Ontario Breast Screening Program) recommends a breast screening every two years for women ages 50-74 who are at average risk for breast cancer and have:

  • No acute breast symptoms.
  • No personal history of breast cancer.
  • Not had a mammogram within the past 11 months.

The OBSP also recommends an annual screening for women ages 30-69 who are confirmed by their doctor or nurse practitioner to be at high risk for breast cancer.
Please note: Starting fall 2024, the Ontario government will lower the eligible age for self-referred breast screenings from 50 to 40. This means women ages 40-49, in addition to women ages 50-74, will be able to book their OHIP-covered breast screening without a doctor's referral.

ExcellentMy Health Centre Reviews4.9SkyZ Land ★★★★★ Did a walk in procedure. Waiting time is reasonable. CoVid - 19 guidelines and protocols were properly implemented. Healthcare professional who did the procedure was very caring. Explained the procedure in details and proper instructions were given. They don’t have electronic wait time display and staff is resourceful to write on display board the wait time which provides clients with approximate wait times. Will highly recommend this site for their excellent service.Selva Ganapathi ★★★★★ Great customer and professional service !Armando Cura ★★★★★ Staff are knowledgeable, helpful and make you feel comfortable!john amendola ★★★★★ Had an appointment within 2 days of calling and diagnostic imaging, bloodwork a day later. Greeted by friendly staff.HJKhizar ★★★★★ I was well taken care of. The technician doing the IV, radioactive medicine injection and other test procedures was very kind, polite and caring. I'll be comparing the services and staff anywhere else, to the standards she set while helping me with my cardio tests.Lisa D ★★★★★ Professional and personable staff. Highly recommend this mammogram and ultrasound clinicDavid Lane ★★★★★ The personal, I was in contact with were very pleasant and caring. I really liked how each made what they had to say clear and to the point. No guessing what was said. It was an excellent experience. Sincerely Dave LWayne Buckborough ★★★★★ Very professional.. wait time minimal..excellent communication, explained every procedure.. appointment reminder notification before actual appointment….maryann meunier ★★★★★ The technician was excellent and very friendlyHelped with the nervesMike Germa ★★★★★ I found the staff at Ross Memorial to be just wonderful. Whitney set up my appointment and from there I was introduced to Donna and the Jeanie. Wonderful, professional people who provided me with such a positive attitude that I was made to feel good about getting my bone scan and although it was a scary place to be, your staff throughout my experience could not have been more informative and welcoming. The reason for my four star rating was your waiting room and your cafeteria seating, it’s like someone went out of there to design seating that was just horrible. A cushion here and there would help but new comfortable chairs would be a must or I might add that anyone visiting the Ross to bring their own cushions.Cheers….Mike GermaLinda B ★★★★★ Receptionist and X-ray tech were both very friendly and got me in and out quickly !Sandra Feltham ★★★★★ Very nice and always friendly and helpfulLisa Woods ★★★★★ Staff was very professional and friendly.
